The trick is to use the pillow cases that come with the sheet set without needing to alter them. Shown here is a king size pillow case pulled over the white 56 inch pillow.

Now pull the other pillow case over the opposite end overlapping the two in the middle. With two kings, there's a large 20" overlap in the middle, perfect for keeping the cases from slipping apart.

Now it's a body pillow cover that matches the sheets. I've needed this forever, and so easy to put on!

You can also buy sheet sets one size larger than the mattress so they'll always fit after shrinking. This allows king size pillow cases to drape elegantly down the side of the bed.
